Data You Give Us Directly
Information entered into a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Our own servers do not keep a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only the details you choose to include, which are used to answer that message.
Data We Gather Automatically
The host records routine server-log details such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time stamps. Those details are reviewed in aggregate for site health and broad readership patterns. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, if used, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
Those limited data support site operation, error repair, traffic counts, and page improvements. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built from this information.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Each outside service has its own privacy rules, and those rules govern anything submitted there. Sponsored search results are supplied by a third-party company and are covered by that provider's practices.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and technical service providers may process the server logs needed to run the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is not shared beyond the purposes stated here.
How We Protect Your Data
The pages use an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. Because there are no user accounts, this service does not hold a visitor password or personal account profile.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent information, use the contact route and the information will be removed.
Your Data Rights
Depending on your circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information held by a covered business. California's Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code ยงยง 1798.100 et seq., describes rights such as access, deletion, correction, and limits on sale or sharing for covered consumers. Since this service retains very little, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs, then removing information found there. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by California state, county, or city custodians are outside this service's control, so requests about those records belong with the office that maintains them.
Updates to This Policy
Updates will be posted on this page. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
